Audrey and Andy : Engaged

Audrey and Andy are tying the knot in less than 10 days!!!!  In celebration of that, I thought I would FINALLY share their engagement session on the blog.

Meet Audrey and Andy

These two are seriously cool.  Like no joke.

We started the session around my favorite area of downtown – I  mean how can you not LOVE the brick in this area?

And then we walked and found really, really creepy stuff to take photos in front of.  (BTW, I love it when my couples just let me suggest “interesting” locations!)

Andy’s idea!  LOVE!

They are really into vintage everything.

So right before this outfit change…we took a little lunch break.  Photography is hard.:)

Seriously.  One of my favorites from the session!

That scooter was just dying to be in their esesh.  Done.

Love when everything just falls into place.

Alright, I need to actually take a moment of silence here.  This is one of my favorite little spot…well, they put up railings recently and…”le sigh.”

Oh hello there sunflare.  I haven’t forgotten about you.

This. Car. Is. Everything.

For the record, suspenders rock.

Uyen + Joseph : Married

I often get asked about my favorite wedding to shoot…and in all honesty, I don’t know if I have a favorite wedding, but I definitely have a long list of favorite moments.  I remember the wedding when the cake didn’t show up because of a scheduling mis-communication and the venue whipped up a cute little sheet cake for the bride and groom.  Then the time when in the middle of an outdoor ceremony, rain poured down, and without missing a beat, everyone stopped and brought their chairs in and the ceremony continued indoors.  And sure I’ve seen the bouquet get tossed up and got caught by the chandelier, but was helped down by a guy hopping onto another guy’s shoulder.  Yet, it’s the beauty within the imperfections that turns the wedding day into ABSOLUTELY PERFECTION.    So it may have been the case this weekend that the bride forgot her veil at home (but we caught it early enough for the groom to grab it from the house)…or that she almost forgot her wedding ring in the hotel room bathroom…and it could be that the flower girl decided (while walking down the aisle) she was having NONE of the flower girl duties and only JUST fulfilled her role by throwing down ONE small petal.  All of that, plus a little bit of rain…well, I would say that’s a pretty perfect way to say “I Do.”

Poppy Lee : Baby

Baby/Toddler shoots can sometimes feel like they are too deceivingly easy when I get a ONE year old in front of my camera who is so accommodating, happy and utterly perfect….and I’ve shot enough babies/toddlers to KNOW that is not always the case.  But  that was exactly what happened yesterday at Poppy’s photo shoot…and although her mom told me that she was a pretty easy child (I do hear that A LOT), I’m pretty sure the 30 minute power nap she had in the car helped.   I’m not sure if any of you guys reading this are longtime “stalkers” of Pink Posh, but Poppy belongs to Jennifer and Adam, who tied the knot in 2009.  (You guys might remember Jen’s bridals+boudoir session from back then: Yups, this is still one of my favorite session – mainly because of the crazy ideas I would throw out at Jen and she would just blindly agree to.)…..BUT back to Poppy.  Umm…she’s absolutely ADORBS.  Plus, she just turned the big O-N-E a few days ago!!!  You guys, help me wish a Happy Birthday to Poppy!!!

Jen wanted to keep Poppy’s photo shoot very clean and modern, so that her personality would shine through…which was perfect, because I was dying to use my seamless backdrops.  Now I’m obsessed.

How perfect is Poppy in her blue jeans and gold sandals?

She’s definitely catalogue ready.:)

A girl after my own heart.  As soon as her mom gave her a book, she ran over and sat down to read.  LOVE!

Those cheeks!!!!

We sang Itsy Bitsy Spider together here.:)

Love how big her smiles are!

THIS. PHOTO.  She killed it.

I DIE.  Her fur jacket, floral dress and those curls…I can’t even.  She’s perfection.

I daresay Poppy may be too cool for us.  You make the judgement.:)

Some candids / play around photos.:)

And when playing gets too tiresome…WE REST.

I told you guys she was perfect.

So I thought I would share some outtakes – because kids are going to be kids.  They play, they run, they have an attention span of a 2 year old…or rather in Poppy’s case, a 1 year old.  And at the end of the day, isn’t it really all about the in-between moments?

This random photo is one of my FAVORITE from the session.

Jerry Connors - Adorable……Too cute

Odie and Dakota : Puppies

Several things I’m absolutely giddy about today.  First…I seriously heart our new EADO Houston photo studio…especially in this summer heat.  Yups, A/C and a fan, I don’t even know why we resisted for so long.  Second…I am now obsessed with schnauzers!  Why are they so dang cute???   Thank YOU to their human (aka Louis) for sharing them with me today!!!

Everyone, meet Odie.  Odie was a rescue and was abused by his previous owner….until his awesome new human came along and he is now well loved and the sweetest puppy!

Everyone, meet Dakota.  She is crazy HYPER.  This girl got some energy to her!

And together, Odie and Dakota are pretty awesome.

Especially when Dakota starts acting like this…and Odie just humors her.

Pink Posh Pets
Their human, Louis, is a hair stylist at the MicheLyndon salon over in the Galleria area of town…so I was not at all surprised to see Odie’s mohawk.

Oh Dakota.  Seriously, she cracks me up with all her “poses.”

One last one…The human and Odie.:)

Ada and Ahren : Engaged

I’MMMMMMMMMMMMMM BACK!!!!  I apologize for the long delay in posts, but I have a good reason.  I’ve been spending all my free time volunteering with the Boot Campaign (if you don’t know what that is – go here to find out:  and as that is dialing down for me, I can now get back to Pink Posh.:) So I hope you guys LOVE reading and looking at blogs, because….ummm, you might be getting spammed with all the ones I have in the queue!

So first up to restart this bad boy is Ada and Ahren’s esesh at our studio.  What???  That’s right!  Your eyes DO NOT deceive!   We finally opened up a Houston studio and it’s amazing!  It’s part of a working art studio with a ton of other creatives folks and as soon as I saw the exposed brick walls and the big windows with the afternoon light…it was over for me.  I was hooked and I had to have it!!!  And so without further ado,   I’ll intro you guys to the beautiful Ada and her dashing fiance, Ahren – in our new fabulous EADO studio!!!
